I came home from work today and finally got around to finish repairing the boat cover.  It suffered a tear on the way home from our Coeur d' Alene vacation.
  Boat Cover Before
Here is the stitched up boat cover (a temporary solution that did the job for the last few weeks).

  Boat Cover Repair Tools
Here are all the repair tools: Sail Palm, Waxed Twine, EZneedle & Patches.  Missing from view is the same size patch underneath the boat cover.

  Boat Cover After
And here is the end result.
Many thanks to my Mother-In-Law Jan for stitching the patches that I sewed together.
With the patches in place, the rubber nub on the windshield shouldn't cause any more holes in the boat cover for a few more years.

EZNews: Gary is scheduled for knee surgery Sept. 4th, 2012.
It's been 15 months since my first knee surgery (Hamstring Tendon Graft Reconstruction of the ACL).
Despite what my previous doctor & physical therapist said, my knee just hasn't "felt right" for the last 6 months. Well my instincts proved correct and were validated by a recent MRI.
The MRI reveals 2 issues: a Medial Meniscus Tear and Fibrous Tissue Growing on my 'new' ACL.
Gary's Right Knee Medial Meniscus Tear

Gary Right Knee ACL Abnormal Growth
The plan is to undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove the torn part of the Medial Meniscus and to shave off the Fibrous tissue growing on the ACL.
All I can say is, "Let's get this fixed (again).  As much as I like to wakesurf, I can't wait to wakeboard next year!"

  EZNews: Cousin Sharon Visits TTHQ
  Grandma Sue & cousin Sharon
  Dad writes:
"My cousin Sharon is renting a house for two weeks on the OR coast in Florence, 75 miles south of TTHQ. She loves the beach and the beautiful weather at the coast.
Sharon came up yesterday to spend the day with us. Had a great visit, including a long walk on the beach, sitting around outside, shooting pool, etc.
She’s traveling with her two Dalmatians, both of which are well behaved.
Had a terrific time."

Say "Nice Doggies" to Lilah & Trixie.
  Cousin Sharon's Well Mannered Dalmations
  Dad writes:
"Here are Sharon’s two dog’s on our Gleneden Beach deck. That’s Lilah on the left and Trixie on the right.
Pic taken at about 6:30 PM yesterday, Sat., Aug. 25th, after running hard on the beach. Both dogs were pooped.
Well trained dogs. Mom, Sharon and I had a great time with the dogs, both on and off their leashes.
What fun we had."

  "Gary:

The wall is really ‘ALIVE’ with color.
Always room for much, much more. Spread the word.

TTHQ's Lot 400 driveway is looking good.
  TTHQ Lot 400 RV Parking
  Dad writes:
  "Gary:
Rocks and ramps give the driveway a nice fresh look over previous driveway bed.
Makes it oh-so-easy to park, knowing it’s level. Put it in Park, turn off ignition and lock it up. Big time saver over dragging out wood blocks, lining them up, and setting up each time.
Very pleased about the new rock bed, as well.
Love, Dad"

  TTHQ RV Parking Ramps
Up close with TTHQ's RV parking ramps.  Dad writes:
  "Gary:
Here are the finished ‘pressure treated’ parking ramps on our lot at the beach. Each ramp secured 2’ into ground with vertical rebar rods.
Gives the ramps a more finished look, blending in better with the environment.
Love,
Dad

On day one of our Coeur d' alene vacation, Ron Payseno and I launched the boat in Cave Bay and boated over to '16 to 1 Bay' (next bay over) and back. While on the phone with Yvonne trying to identify the rental house from the lake, the front line (3/8" double-braided nylon) got sucked up the jet intake and wrapped itself around the port impeller. We spent 45 minutes of troubleshooting in the water and eventually trailered the boat. From the boat launch, with help from a nameless Mr. Handyman and his tools, we were able to free the line from the impeller shaft.

After helping me remove approximately 10' of the 3/8" Double-Braided Nylon line wrapped around the port engine's impeller, I promoted Ron from First Mate to Captain.
Unbelievably, he hasn't seen the movie Captain Ron.
If he doesn't see the movie by next summer, I may have to demote him of his title.

  Evening Wakeboarding & Swimming
  Air Temp: 70° / Water Temp: 68°
Notes: Gary took the day off from work today to summerize the boat.  Scott wakeboarded (naturally he landed his one and only back flip) & Gary waksurfed with no knee pain.
While we were out on the South side of the lake, we picked up a 6' x 2" x 8" board with nails sticking out of it. It appeared to be from someone's dock.
The late afternoon/evening boating was cut short as Jodi had to go to the Emergency Room with what appears to be a kidney stone. Jackson may be staying the night with us, depending upon how things turn out with Jodi.  Get well soon Jodi!

Notes: Before jumping onto the superman tube, Colton bragged to everyone and (especially Gary) about his tubing skills and that he has yet to be bounced off a tube.  Gary took that as a challenge and decided to give Colton a real tube experience. 25 seconds into his first ride of the day, Colton was no longer on the tube. For those of you keeping score at home, that's Gary 1, Colton 0.
